Overview
Opekto provides free browser-based utility tools. All tools run entirely in your browser — your text, numbers, dates, and any other input you provide are never sent to our servers. We do not have servers that receive your input data. This policy explains what limited data we do collect and exactly why.
Data We Collect
We do not collect personal information through tool usage. The only data collected is anonymous analytics such as page views and general browser type, used to understand which tools are most useful. No personally identifiable information is stored or transmitted through tool usage.
IP Address Lookup Tool
The IP Address Lookup tool displays your public IP address and associated network information to you. To provide this functionality, your browser communicates with a third-party geolocation service. This is technically necessary since identifying an IP address requires an external lookup. Opekto does not receive, store, or log your IP address through this tool — the data is fetched directly by your browser and displayed only to you.
Contact Form & IP Addresses
When you submit the General Feedback form or interact with our contact pages, we collect your IP address. This is used solely for security and abuse prevention. It is not stored in any database, not shared with third parties, and not used for tracking, advertising, or profiling of any kind.
Google AdSense
We display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to show relevant ads based on your browsing activity across other sites. We do not control which specific ads are shown and receive no personal information about individual users from Google. You can manage your ad preferences at adssettings.google.com.
Cookies
We do not set any first-party cookies. The only cookies present on this site are set by our advertising partner for ad personalization purposes. Blocking third-party cookies will not affect any tool functionality — our tools do not depend on cookies in any way.
Your Tool Data
Everything you enter into any Opekto tool — text, numbers, dates, passwords, colors, or any other input — is processed locally in your browser. This data is never sent to our servers. We have no access to it, and it is cleared from memory when you close or reload the page. This applies to every tool on the site without exception.
Third-Party Links
Advertisements on this site may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site you visit.
Children's Privacy
Our tools are suitable for general audiences of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. The only situation where any data is collected is through voluntary contact form submissions. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our contact form, please reach out so we can remove it.
Data Retention
We do not maintain a database of user data. Any technical data collected through contact interactions is handled transiently for security purposes and is not retained in structured storage. Analytics data is retained by the analytics provider per their own policy.
Your Rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you. Since we collect no personal data through tool usage and contact form data exists only as internal email notifications, the practical scope of this is minimal. If you submitted a contact form and want the associated data removed, contact us and we will delete it. We do not sell, rent, or trade any data under any circumstances.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our tools evolve. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Opekto after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
